Review: Not a whole lot went down in this one; lots of chasing and gun shots, but the real exposition didn’t come in the end. Terry finds the weapons, Spawn dispenses of Merrick’s men and then reads Terry’s mind.

I want to say the animation in this episode was nice, but I really can’t. Why? Maybe because it was so damn dark. I’m over exaggerating of course…there were plenty of nice shots, especially illuminated gun fire, but there were some scenes where you could barely see even Terry or Merrick and her men because of the excess shadows.

There were some very intense scenes to be sure, but when all is said and done this episode was a lot of drama and very little plot movement. As I said before—there’s plenty of gun play and chasing going on, but until the end we don’t really hit much in terms of character progression.

In the end it was a good episode; it certainly was fun to watch, even if there wasn’t a whole lot to take in. The flashback to how Terry came to care for Wanda was also something we’d been desperately needing in the series, for both his character and for Spawn’s, so it was a welcome reveal.
